A peek behind the lens: ideas, inspiration, and client stories.

Quality isn’t an accident. It’s a Choice!

Some brands talk about quality. Others build it into every decision they make.

When I started planning this product photography shoot with Holm Made Toffee, we weren’t talking about camera settings, props, or backdrops. We were talking about ingredients. And not because we wanted boring ingredient photos… No, we wanted photos that showed how the ingredients are a crucial part of what makes their brand different:

Real butter. Premium chocolate. Locally sourced hazelnuts.

The truth is, for the founders Holm Made Toffee, the quality starts looooong before a customer opens a package or takes a bite. It starts with conscious choices. And that became the foundation for this shoot.

Instead of treating the ingredients as background elements, we intentionally gave them a role in the final product image. We arranged, moved, adjusted, and refined until the composition felt balanced.

A little color. Plenty of texture. Nothing added just for the sake of filling space.

For the brand, these images tells the story of what’s inside. It gives customers a glimpse into the ingredients that help define the product.

One of the main reasons I love brand photography is how I get to show my approach to product photography. Honestly, quality isn’t an accident behind my camera either. Every choice I make… matters.

The lighting. The composition. The spacing.

That’s why this product photoshoot felt like such a natural fit for both of us. It tells two stories at once.

One about a business that chooses quality ingredients… Simple. Intentional. Honest.

And the other about a photographer who believes quality commercial images should be built the same way… Simple. Intentional. Honest.

What choices make your product different? If the answer matters to your customers, it should probably show up in your product photos.
